Day 30 Lagos walkabout, car wash & golf driving range

Today weather was partly sunny with passing clouds and high of 24C.   Not too exciting activities today.  But a couple of pictures in the old town historic part of Lagos.

Our rental car was accumulating bug juice from our travels so we had to do a cash wash.  Funny, so automatic car washes are not very common in Portugal.   There are some but not many.  We did the google thing and it indicated a cash wash at the Intermarche supermarket, so we went there.  There was a man and woman there in a back lot area hand washing vehicles.  So we asked is this a paid car wash, to which they said yes.  Then the lady said the cost depends on the vehicle type and how extensive a cleaning you want, it starts at 25, next is 50 and then 125, Euros!!   Ok, we nearly fainted!  Most things are cheaper in Portugal, except, apparently hand car washing.   So we moved on and eventually did find what is more common, the do it yourself, coin operated manual pressure wash.   See picture below.  Cost was  by time and worked out to about 1 Euro per minute, so our cost was about $6Ca.

Earlier in the day we did make a trip to the driving range…….
