Day 16 Caldas & pack up day.

Weather today had temperature reach high of 16-20C. Sunny in the am with few clouds moved in later in the afternoon.

In the morning we strolled down to the promenade surrounding the clam shell beach of Sao Martinho do Porto. More tourists into town now for the weekend. We stopped at a different cafe and enjoyed coffee with milk. Decent price too, both for 2.40 euros. It was so nice and enjoy the heat of the sun while enjoying the beverage. Lunch at the condo, then a road trip back to Caldas de Raina to pick up the tiles Gale had painted in the ceramics workshop. Marianna (studio owner) was having a showing in her studio of items that she and her colleague had made to sell. It was very nice there with a display of ceramics, slide show, music for entertainment, with wines and food pickies too! We stopped into a China Warehouse store…OMG….they sell everything there, including toilet seats! We made a couple of purchases, then went on our way. We had a quick and easy supper at the Pingo Doce this evening in Caldas de Raina. We thought we might take in the Chinese buffet, but it was 14 euros each. We weren’t hungry enough for that….so a pizza at the Pingo was in order! A great price too…5.5 euros total (for two of us).

After we were back to the condo we had a virtual happy hour with good friends from back home.
