Day 28 Walked down some steep steps to the Ponta da Piedade grotto nearby & beaches.

Today the weather was mostly sunny and a high of only 20C.    

Today we did a visit to nearby local scenic spots.  The first is the grotto at Ponta da Piedade as well as the nearby beaches of Praia do Caravial and Praia de Porto Mos.  Caravial is a little hard to reach, it is via a hillside pathway off the cliffside walkway west of Ponta da Piedade.  It does not have many beach goers as a result.  

Praia de Porto Mos is a nearby beach reached easily by car, with a fairly large parking area.  There is a restaurant there as well.   It is very scenic as it is surrounded by high cliffs and has a nice width and length for walking or enjoying the surf.  

The first picture below is at the condo pool and Gale about to venture in.  Note it is not very busy, mainly because, despite it being about 20C outside the pool is not heated and rather cool.
